Coronavirus update

Banya is following advice from the government to protect people most at risk and slow the rate of community transmission of Coronavirus. The need for foster carers remains, and we are working to ensure that carers and children alike are safe and supported during this challenging time.

COVID-19 case numbers are rising rapidly across the whole of the UK and in other countries. The government has said they need to act now to control the spread of the virus. The single most important action that we can all take to fight coronavirus is to stay at home, to protect the NHS and save lives.

Please follow the restrictions and please reach out to us for any support you may need to do this. We are here to help.

Remember – ‘Hands. Face. Space.’:

  • hands – wash your hands regularly and for 20 seconds
  • face – wear a face covering in indoor settings where social distancing may be difficult, and where you will come into contact with people you do not normally meet
  • space – stay 2 metres apart from people you do not live with where possible, or 1 metre with extra precautions in place (such as wearing face coverings or increasing ventilation indoors)

We’ve created a Coronavirus hub with the full guidelines for you to refer to.
