The ‘Banya Breakthrough Awards’ returns this October to celebrate the achievements of young people in our care.
We’ll be celebrating and honouring children brought up in foster care and also those who care for them across 3 events, honouring families in Yorkshire & Midlands, London, and Hampshire & Cambridge.
Managing Director, Chido Poe, shares that she’s “super excited to be getting ready for the Breakthrough Awards 2024. It is always such a pleasure recognising the fantastic achievements our young people have completed throughout the year. We have some exciting speakers and performers lined up to attend our Breakthroughs, in the different areas across the country. Each year Banya works hard to ensure the awards ceremonies are a success and that the young people in our care get the recognition they deserve.”
Banya continues to work hard to make the Breakthrough Awards all-inclusive, where all our young people are acknowledged for their progress. There will be 7 categories eligible for nominations:
- Educational Achievement
- Exceptional Progress
- Punctuality & Excellent Attendance
- Best Participation
- Talented Individual
- Outstanding Contribution to Fostering
- Outstanding Contribution to the Community
The awards ceremonies will feature motivational and inspiring speakers, entertainers, musical performers and DJs.
Set up in South London in 1996, Banya supports children all across the UK by finding them a safe and secure home with caring and committed foster carers. Earlier this year Banya was rated outstanding by OFSTED.
