All across the country this summer, compassionate people will be giving up their beds for one night to “sleep out” – at home on the sofa or floor, somewhere safe outside or at an organised event.
On Friday 1st July we joined the Big Business Sleep Out organised by Great British Expos to raise vital funds and awareness to support mental wellbeing for one of our favoured charities, Vana Trust which raises funds for school fees for disadvantaged children in Southern Africa, and Cherishers an organisation that provides free social care community services to the elderly and most vulnerable members of society.
The event raised funds by participants purchasing their tent plots at Vana Trust’s organic farm in Ludgershall, Bucks/Oxon. We spent an unforgettable night under the stars, camping alongside fellow business leaders as we united to fight poverty. It was a great opportunity to be part of an event that helps those that are less fortunate.
We enjoyed live entertainment from local artists and an open mic for inspiring stories as we sat around the campfire & cooked dinner on the BBQ!
