Shared Lives is an adult placement service that matches adults with special needs such as the elderly or those with learning disabilities and/or mental health needs, with carers and their families, to live within their home.
Shared Lives may be in the form of day support, short breaks or longer-term care arrangements. The scheme offers people the chance to remain in the community and be looked after in a normal environment. It cares for a wide range of vulnerable people who need support to live independent lives and promotes their health and well-being.
This month Banya sadly lost one of our Shared Lives’ who was fostered by one of our carers. These same carers looked after Tom who is now one of our staff members. All at Banya send their condolences to the family and carer’s family at this difficult time.
